Safe usage of trampolines
Since 2000 trampolining has become gymnastic sport of the Olympic Games. So sportsmen train for competitions in gyms and sport clubs.
A professional athlete can bounce to a height of up to ten meters on a trampoline. It allows performing multiple somersaults and other sport elements.
Trampolining can be dangerous. Sport clubs and gyms usually pay much attention to safety end-decks with foam pads at each end to prevent falls of any athlete who loses control while jumping.
The injuries usually happen on home trampolines. A fall of three or four meters from the peak of a bounce to the ground can cause serious injuries.
There is a recommendation for safe usage of this device – one person should jump at a time to avoid collisions and catapulting in an unexpected direction. You can avoid danger of injuries by using net in surrounding area. Net prevents jumpers from falling off the trampoline onto the ground.
Professional athletes avoid injuries in specially organized clubs when safety while jumping is properly organized and is under coach’s or instructor’s control.
